Firstly, AmnioWell(AF) and PRP (protein rich plasma) may be utilized in a similar way. However, AmnioWell(AF) contains birth derived growth factors and added exosomes as well as high molecular weight hyaluronic acid.
On the other hand, PRP provides limited, inconsistent, growth factors that are as old as the patient. PRP’s limited growth factors have been through the patient’s life. However, these limited, inconsistent growth factors are still enough to occasionally benefit a patient.
Furthermore, PRP injections are prepared by taking anywhere from one to a few tubes of your own blood and running it through a centrifuge to concentrate the platelets. These activated platelets are then injected back into you.
